      <image:caption>Director of Language Programs &amp; Korean Language Instructor Lisa is a linguist and language educator, and is passionate about language teaching pedagogy and designing programs based in linguistic principles. She has more than a decade of experience developing, coordinating, and teaching language programs in the United States, Mexico, and South Korea. Lisa earned her Ph.D. in Linguistics from Rice University and her M.A. in Linguistics with TESOL certification from the University of North Texas. She loves working with language learners and is energized by their goals. She thrives on understanding their challenges and creating a complete plan to get them where they want to go. She enjoys being a part of someone's world-view-expanding journey to discovering, learning, and speaking a new language.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Meet Our Team - Tyler Paul Utt</image:title>
      <image:caption>Content Manager &amp; Chinese, Japanese, French &amp; German Language Instructor Tyler was born on Hangeul Day and has always been fascinated with languages. Growing up he attended school in the Netherlands, the US, and Germany, and he holds degrees in Linguistics from UT Austin and the University of North Texas. He has taught English in China and Japan, and has worked as a documentary linguist on the Burushaski (Pakistan) and Lamkang (northeast India) languages, contributing to dictionaries, writing systems, and grammatical analysis. He currently teaches Chinese, Japanese, French, and German at LanGo Institute, and specializes in teaching students how to master pronunciation and inflection.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Meet Our Team - Luis Hernández</image:title>
      <image:caption>Spanish Program Manager, Spanish &amp; Italian Language Instructor Luis was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and is a native speaker of Mexican Spanish. His passion for languages began after taking an introductory course in linguistics as an undergraduate. He received his Bachelor’s in Linguistics and Film Studies from the University of Pittsburgh with a minor in Italian and his MA in Linguistics from the University of Texas at Arlington. Luis has studied and taught abroad in Florence, Italy and in the Catalonian region of Spain, where he developed knowledge and appreciation of Italian and Catalan language and culture. He was also part of the English Language Institute at Pitt, where he took part in a language exchange program with native speakers of Brazilian Portuguese. These experiences have enabled Luis to identify and overcome the challenges that come with language learning and teaching.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Community Outreach Manager, Spanish &amp; English Language Instructor Marison holds degrees in Spanish and Speech Language Pathology (SLP) from the University of North Texas. She studied abroad in Costa Rica and this experience really developed her knowledge and understanding of Spanish and overall love for learning new languages, traveling, and experiencing different cultures. While Spanish is the only other language she has formally studied and taught, Marison is also interested in continuing to study other languages and linguistics and is so excited to be a part of the LanGo teaching team!</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Podcast Manager, Portuguese &amp; English Language Instructor Peter is a linguist with a background in phonology, syntax, comparative linguistics, language conservation, and language teaching. He speaks Brazilian Portuguese and has a minor in Japanese, and has extensive teaching experience in linguistics and ESL. As a researcher, he specializes in Austronesian languages with small populations of speakers. Peter earned a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. He has worked as a researcher of endangered language documentation at University of Newcastle, a visiting fellow at Harvard University’s Polinsky Language Science Lab, and as co-director of the Language Documentation Training Center at the University of Hawai'i. His favorite language is Roviana from Solomon Islands.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Lil’ Spanish Program Instructor Micah received her undergraduate degrees in Spanish and Theatre at Southern Methodist University. During her time there she studied abroad in Madrid, and has traveled to many other Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America. She has taken Italian classes at LanGo and put what she learned to use while living as a writer in Italy in 2023. Micah discovered and developed her love of teaching littles as LanGo’s Lil’ Spanish Program instructor and as an acting teacher to children at Akiba Yavneh Academy in Dallas. She loves getting to share the languages and arts that she is so passionate about.</image:caption>

His love of languages first developed in middle school, where he took his first Spanish class in Wichita Falls, Texas. In college, he studied abroad in Cusco, Peru, further improving his language skills and sparking a love for learning about the world around him. This inspired him to teach Spanish in high schools in Frisco, Texas for three years. Luke is very excited to be a part of the LanGo team and learn more about linguistics and other languages!</image:caption>

      <image:caption>English Language Instructor &amp; Spanish Teaching Assistant Haylie is an eternal student who first discovered her love for language and culture taking Spanish in middle school. In high school, she took her first trip abroad to Costa Rica for a language immersion experience that only fueled her desire to connect more deeply with the world through language. While obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin, she also acquired an Associates in Spanish from Austin Community College, and took several German courses. In 2023, she became a certified ESL instructor just before moving abroad to Berlin, where she put her language skills to use. Now that she’s back in the D/FW area, she is so excited to continue teaching and learning languages with LanGo!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Meet Our Team - CULLEN PITNEY</image:title>
      <image:caption>Japanese &amp; Portuguese Language Instructor Cullen's love of foreign language began in 4th grade when he stole his mom's French-English dictionary. Since then, he has continued to steal dictionaries from moms across the globe, studying eight foreign languages and hoping to add more soon. After earning a BA from The New School, Cullen lived in Taiwan from 2017 to 2023, where he earned an MA from National Taipei University of Education and worked as a translator and language instructor. His favorite part of his studies has been seeing how each new language enriches his relationship with English and shapes his personality. Cullen's biggest tip for any aspiring language learner is to sing really loud in your target language and to not be afraid of making mistakes.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Spanish Language Instructor Vero is a Spanish heritage language speaker born in Chicago, with a degree in Radio and Television broadcasting and a Spanish translation certification through UT Arlington. Her favorite memories are the summers spent with her grandmother in Guanajuato, Mexico, and the first CD she ever bought was the soundtrack to the novela, "Aventuras en el Tiempo". She believes in the power of language and breaking concepts down to their simplest, most digestible form. Beyond her love of language and culture, and community engagement, Vero is also passionate about psychology, systems learning, and astrology—fields that feed her curiosity about human behavior and the interconnectedness of the world.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Intern &amp; Language Teacher-in-Training, Japanese &amp; Spanish Teaching Assistant Christine is a Spanish heritage language speaker as well as a Japanese non-native speaker and identifies as a lifelong language learner. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in Modern Language Studies with an emphasis in Japanese and a minor in Linguistics. She received her Master's degree from the University of North Texas in Linguistics and a Graduate Academic Certificate in TESOL. Her main interests within Linguistics are ESL and Second Language Acquisition. In addition to her Teaching Assistant work for Japanese &amp; Spanish classes at LanGo, Christine currently works as a SPED Aide for a local middle school in El Paso and plans to teach English abroad in Japan to middle school students in the future. She has a passion for language, linguistics, and teaching kids.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Intern &amp; Language Teacher-in-Training, Korean &amp; Spanish Teaching Assistant Nick is a Linguist with their Master's in Linguistics from The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). In their time as an undergraduate at UTA, they earned Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Linguistics, a Minor in Spanish, and an Undergraduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Nick's research explores the intersections of sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and psychology. In addition to a few years of formal instruction in Spanish, they've also had a mix of formal instruction and self-study in Portuguese and Korean. They aim to continue their journey by pursuing teaching licensure and a PhD in Linguistics.</image:caption>

She earned her Bachelor's in Linguistics from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, with several completed undergraduate projects in sociolinguistics and phonology. She has worked as a private French tutor in the past, and is excited to bring her love of people and words to the LanGo team. When she's not info-dumping about the differences between Metropolitan and Canadian French, you can likely find her playing piano, reading, or befriending neighborhood cats.</image:caption>
